Dr. LaLande earned a Ph.D. in history from the University of Oregon. He retired from a career as archaeologist and historian with the U.S. Forest Service.

Mr. Millar explores the activities that are allowable and encourages our members to become even more active in this arena. Ron Millar is the Political and PAC Coordinator at the Center for Freethought Equality. He researches and interviews political candidates for possible endorsement by the Freethought Equality Fund PAC. He has a PhD from Virginia Tech.

This includes downloadable books, online databases, streaming video, and more. Shannon Sedell and Chris Myers are librarians at Lake Oswego Public Library. Shannon has a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Chris has a master’s degree in Library Science.

Dealing With Death After a Disaster

Deon Strommer presents a talk on disaster recovery. He speaks of his experience with the National Disaster Medical System in February 2020 to help contain the Corona Virus, to assist with quarantining of U.S. citizens arriving from Wuhan, China, and to help in the care of people who died from the virus. In mid-May he returned to Oregon to assist state agencies in preparing for a possible second wave of the virus this Fall. Mr. Strommer is a Funeral Director and owner of First Call Mortuary Services in Portland.
