Dealing with the climate crises, world-wide refugees, the possibility of world war, and the failure of capitalism to meet the world’s needs, we need to choose between coercion or consensus to address these crises. Robert Schmidt has a Ph.D. in Political Science. He has taught in various countries. Before his retirement he was a professor of Theology and Political Science at Concordia University in Portland.
