Over Zoom, Yoram Bauman focuses on three climate bets he is involved in: Are global temperatures peaking? Are global emissions peaking? And is bipartisan, pocketbook-friendly, small-government climate action even remotely possible? Dr. Bauman îs “the world’s first and only stand-up economist”, and led the “Clean the Darn Air” ballot measure push in Utah, co-chaired Seattle effort to put first ever US state carbon tax on ballot, and has co-authored cartoon introductions to climate change, calculus, and economics. With a BA in math from Reed and PhD in economics from U of Washington, his goals in life are to spread joy to the world through economics comedy; to reform economics education; and to implement carbon pricing. Note: First Sundays are more interactive, and perhaps more family friendly, than our other programs. Live music starts at 9:30.
