Community Involvement

HGP actively supports local nonprofits that reflect humanist values, from public broadcasting to food assistance and environmental organizations.

The Humanists of Greater Portland supports local nonprofits that reflect our humanist values — organizations working for the common good, human dignity, and a sustainable community.

Get Involved

Members are encouraged to volunteer with these and similar organizations. If you know of a nonprofit that aligns with humanist principles, bring it to our attention at info@portlandhumanists.org.

Bring food or clothing donations to our Sunday programs — we collect regularly for local organizations serving people in need.
